A blast from the past is the Lily Sugar’n Cream Naturals dishcloths. One is a traditional granny, and the other is a solid granny. It was updated to 2023 with other options, such as the Lily Sugar’n Cream original yarn and Lily Sugar’n Cream Scrub Off.
It’s always nice to have handmade items for everyday tasks like cleaning. Plus, using crochet dishcloths is a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to disposable ones.
Both squares are pretty quick to make and are nearly beginner-level crochet.
After I filmed both of these, both will be great for my cleaning needs.
Dischloth 1 – Solid Granny
You can use Lily Sugar’n Cream or in my case, Lily Sugar’n Cream Scrub Off. There is enough yarn using a 4.5 mm / G Hook for the scrub off version. The original pattern calls for 5 mm / H/8 but the hook uses more yarn and you won’t have enough to finish with Scrub Off. You can get this free pattern here.

Dishcloth 2 – Traditional Granny
I updated this existing pattern to more of a modern colour from the naturals that it used to be. Using the same yarn, Lily Sugar’n Cream. You can get this free pattern here.
