While sourcing props for a recent photoshoot, we looked into novelty phones and noticed a surprising gap: none of the novelty lines seemed to include a fuzzy phone. It felt like a must-have for the shoot, so we made one ourselves. It may not be the most practical gadget today, but as a desk accessory it’s undeniably fun and charming.
I find myself pretending to take calls all the time now — it’s that delightfully silly.

Below is the project card with clear instructions so you can recreate the fuzzy phone. It’s printable and compact, perfect to take with you if you’re making one on the go. We’ll be updating older posts with similar project cards over time.
DIY Fuzzy Phone
Total Time: 15 minutes
Supplies
Pink novelty phone
Pink boa or fluffy trim
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Directions
1. Wrap the boa around the base of the phone to measure the length you need, then trim any excess. Working in small sections, secure the boa to the phone with hot glue so the fur lies smoothly around the edges.
2. Cut two shorter pieces from the boa for the ear pieces. Glue each piece into place where you want the phone’s “ears” to sit, shaping them so they look even and full.
That’s it — simple and fast. Your fuzzy phone is ready to brighten up a desk, party, or gift bag.

This project is quick, hilarious, and perfect for group activities like slumber parties, bachelorette events, or bridal showers. If you’re shopping for a playful, retro-inspired gift, a pink fuzzy phone is a memorable choice.
