I recently enjoyed learning cake-frosting basics and decided to team up with Craftsy again to improve another party essential: gift wrapping. Although I already felt somewhat confident wrapping gifts, my corners and edges never looked as crisp as I wanted. After taking Craftsy’s Paper Arts class, taught by Alton Dulaney, I discovered a few simple techniques that make a noticeable difference. The class covers fundamental wrapping skills and moves into paper decor projects, paper flowers and greeting cards — ideal for anyone who loves paper crafts.

Alton demonstrates essential wrapping techniques such as keeping the gift perfectly centered while folding and minimizing visible tape. He also shared an easy method for tying a neat bow — a game changer for anyone who’s struggled with bows. These clear, practical tips turned routine wrapping into something much more polished and enjoyable.

If you like the wrapping papers shown here, you can print them yourself. I printed these on 16×20 paper at a local office supply store, but you can scale them down for smaller gifts. The printable files are designed to make wrapping quick and stylish, even for last-minute gifts.
