Today’s post is written by Tiffanie of Corner Blog. Over the past few months she’s been working on an inspiring project, 101 Donut Pan Ideas. Tiffanie is experimenting with 101 different ways to use a donut pan—both edible and non-edible—and each idea is more creative than the last. She’s shared one of her holiday-inspired donut pan creations here for Studio DIY. These make lovely gifts. Take it away, Tiffanie!

Hello! I’m Tiffanie, and I write Corner Blog, where I share bits of life and projects from San Francisco. I first discovered Kelly’s delightful blog during the Olympics last summer — we both had Olympic fever! One of Kelly’s creative Olympic projects inspired me and, in return, I shared a donut pan idea of my own. Since finding Studio DIY I’ve become an avid reader, constantly impressed by Kelly’s creativity, tireless work ethic, and generosity in spotlighting other makers.
Last spring I started a slightly crazy and very fun mission to create 101 Donut Pan Ideas. It’s been a joyful, experimental challenge and you can see the projects I’ve completed so far here.
With the holidays upon us, I had lots of festive ideas, but ultimately chose to share a seasonal favorite that fits the cheerful tone of Studio DIY: Peppermint Bark Wheels.

Don’t they look lovely? I have a soft spot for anything donut-shaped, and these peppermint bark wheels are especially pretty and perfectly giftable.
You can follow any peppermint bark recipe you like. I’ve posted a tutorial showing my process here. Next time I’m planning to try a Martha Stewart version that includes puffed rice for extra crunch.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and thank you, Kelly, for hosting me here — it’s an honor!
Thanks so much, Tiffanie! This ongoing 101 Donut Pan Ideas project is one of my favorite creative series. For more donut pan inspiration check the past donut projects and follow Corner Blog to see new ideas as they appear.
