Ombre yarn is among the most beautiful inventions for modern textile designers. Strands of yarn are joined together in a way, which allows the color to gradually go from one to another, which is perfect for crochet shawls. Working with this kind of yarn is very easy, but it require a little planning.
It works best with one-piece designs, such as big shawls, blankets or tops worked in the round. You can find a lot of different yarn types that are ombre-looking, so choose according to what you want to make. There are also yarns that are speckled or dyed multicolored, such as t-shirt yarns. You can use them for making rugs or other home accessories.
