She is a dear friend, a trusted colleague, and one of the most all-around multi-talented crafters that I know. She said, “Don’t be discouraged if you submit a design to a magazine and it doesn’t get picked. Some really beautiful designs may not fit the theme as well as others, there are almost always way more amazing designs than there is room for or budget to pay for, and there are many other reasons why a great design doesn’t get picked. Keep on going!”
