Sweet Summer Square

The Details
My Notes: Carolyn is a brilliant pattern writer, and her squares are always a pleasure to make. This square is interesting, beautiful, center-out, and works up in an evening. The finishing options are perfect, and the finished square barely needs any blocking at all!
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Bobbles, Standing Double Crochet, Standing Single Crochet, and Seamless Finishing.
Sizing: This square offers a variety of finishing options, depending on how your sizing is working out – love that! I ended up using the hdc instructions for Rnd 11. But everyone’s gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Color A: Pewter
Color B: Light Gray
Color C: White
This square required a very mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
