Bono Bunny Charity crochet pattern – CrochetObjet

Hello my lovely blog readers. Today I’m here to share my new crochet pattern with you all. Yesterday I added the Bono Bunny to my Ravelry and Etsy stores. The Bono Bunny is a charity crochet pattern and will be my modest contribution to the huge civil solidarity and charity activities that are so dominant nowadays in Israel.

When the news about babies, toddlers and kids that were brutally murdered in the Hamas ISIS attack on 7.10 started to arrive they were followed by more and more unbearable details. Then the stories of the parents who were massacred or burned in front of their children that were tied with ropes came. The Israeli official media channels cleverly did not publish any pictures. Just to try and keep their relatives privacy. But the news came anyway and I found myself crocheting a soft wooly bunny.

At first I followed my Angie Bunny pattern but before I noticed it became a new pattern. I crocheted a soft little bunny with those babies, toddler and kids in mind.

After the first bunny was done I shared my idea with my weekly crocheters friends and they asked if I can write down the pattern so they can join me with this making. So I started to crochet the second bunny while writing the pattern. I added a few pictures for them and realized I have a new pattern almost completed.

When I started crocheting the first bunny, U2’s Bono paid tribute to ‘beautiful kids’ slain at Israel desert rave. Bono dedicated a touching song and words that deeply moved many, especially following the heart-wrenching incident at the Nova music festival where hundreds celebrators were brutally murdered. Hence why I named my new charity crochet pattern BONO BUNNY!

On Monday I gave my new pattern to my lovely weekly MONDAY’s club and they started making it right away. For my Bono Bunny I used the Eco Soft wool by Isager (a DK wool) that I just purchased on our visit to Copenhagen. I had more of this wool so I gave it to Elicheva and she started making her Bono Bunny. Bono Bunny Charity crochet patternI used a 4 mm crochet hook for my Bono’s but Elicheva used a 3.75 mm hook which came out pretty much the same size as mine. You can see her lovely Bono Bunny on the video I uploaded to YouTube yesterday. Bono Bunny Charity crochet pattern

Orna crocheted her Bono Bunny using 4ply Sport weight cotton.

On Wednesday I added the Bono Bunny crochet pattern to Etsy and Ravelry stores as a charity crochet pattern. Bono Bunny is a charity pattern. All profits from the Bono Bunny pattern will be donated to the civil charity organization, Brothers in arms. This organization has been a pillar of strength, taking care of SO many aspects and people after the Hamas ISIS brutal terror attack on 7.10.

This soft little bunny was designed to be a close friend for toddlers, kids, or anyone who survived the brutal attack but not before seeing their parents and loved ones brutally murdered, burned, raped. It was created out of a deep desire to offer the softest, most huggable bunny for cuddling. bono bunny

This organization has been a pillar of strength, taking care of SO many aspects and people after the Hamas ISIS brutal attack on 7.10. This is my tiny little contribution to the huge civil solidarity and charity activities that are so dominant nowadays in Israel. By purchasing this pattern you support them and our community. Your support means everything.

We will continue making more and more Bono Bunnies here. But I’m not sure yet when and where will they find their way to the right soft hands. Yesterday I uploaded a new episode to my YouTube channel in which I share a lot more information about it. Please watch. Thank you SO much for all your heart warming words. I read each and every comment you share, your words and prayers are touching.

I write this post while bombs and sirens are constantly being heard here. We go in and out of the shelter so please excuse me if it’s a little non coherent. xxMo
