Over the past 7 Plaid Weeks, I have designed a number of variations on the beloved buffalo plaid scarf.
Each of my plaid scarf patterns have had a slightly different flavor; some are classic, some have a bit more flair.
All of them are fairly easy to work up, and since lovers of plaid and scarves would appreciate getting all of them in one easy collection!
CROCHET PLAID SCARF COLLECTION
What you need:
– YARN: Most patterns in this collection are worked with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn for extra coziness. One is worked with one strand, but all patterns use worsted weight yarn. The fluffy lined cowl calls for a #5 fluffy yarn called Feels Like Bliss by Lion Brand.
– HOOKS: You will use a few different hook sizes; 5.5mm, 6mm, 7mm, and 8mm
WHICH PATTERNS ARE INCLUDED?
First pattern is the classic and timeless crochet infinity. It’s very simple and might be the easiest pattern as it’s worked in joined rows.
The second pattern is a long scarf for those who want more options from their buffalo plaid scarf.
This pattern includes two different finishing options,
The third pattern is a triangle cowl. It has a triangle detail without the bulk of a triangle shawl (I have one of those too!) while having a cozy cowl top.
The fourth pattern in this collection is a fuzzy lined cowl. This pattern was originally published with a sheepskin fabric lining, but I found some fabulous silky, fuzzy yarn, so the pattern has been updated so the entire cowl is crocheted (an unlined cowl pattern is included as well!)
The fifth pattern in the collection is a buckled neck warmer. It looks fancy and complicated, but it’s made from a humble rectangle with some straps and buckles.
