Join Me at the Creative Stitches Retreat with mYak!
Hello everyone,
It’s been a while since I last posted here, but life has been quite a whirlwind. It wasn’t planned but I just couldn’t juggle it all at once. I’ve been busy creating YouTube vlogs but I will tell you more about it later.
¨
Today, I have some thrilling news to share! I’m delighted to announce that I will be teaching at the mYak Fibers Retreat in the stunning Dolomites in June 2025. I’ll be joining the wonderful Jonna Helin of Laine Magazine for this incredible event.
¨
Paola and the mYak team have selected an extraordinary location that promises to be an experience in itself. They’ve curated a diverse program filled with good food, hiking, and a focus on a healthy lifestyle.
¨
I’ll be teaching two workshops on embroidery with a crochet hook and creative stitches. We’ll also have plenty of time for knitting and crocheting while soaking in the fresh mountain air. It feels like a dream come true!
¨
Recently, I’ve been busy designing new patterns using mYak fibers yarn. I’ve shared my love for their touch and quality many times before. My latest crochet pattern, the Vera Collar, was released earlier this month. Made from their Kupa yarn and Baby Yak Silk blend, and is now available in my Etsy and Ravelry stores. I can’t tell you enough how I enjoy designing with these gorgeous Yak blends. I hope you’ve had a chance to check it out. I’ve documented the process extensively on my YouTube channel.
Ok, so let’s talk about the YouTube thing. We had to take our roof – top studio down. The contractions started at the beginning of last June. A few days before, I shared a full Studio Tour video to have it all documented before the heartbreaking work starts.
¨
To make a long story short, that morning, when they started to break my studio and my heart, I took a few short videos with my phone.
What started as a personal documentation turned into daily vlogs, chronicling the construction and my creative journey. This new endeavor has been incredibly therapeutic for me, helping me cope with the changes.
¨
I’m immensely grateful for the amazing community that has formed around my vlogs. Your support has been overwhelming and heartwarming. If you’re one of my vlog viewers, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Creating daily vlogs has become a significant part of my life, allowing me to share not just my yarn-y creations but also glimpses of my daily life. As well as my makings in the kitchen.
¨
I love creating daily vlogs but it is time consuming by all means. So, this is why I come here less often. I have no plans to stop blogging but for now, if you want to keep up with my daily life and creative projects, please join our wonderful community on YouTube.
Alongside my YouTube adventure, I’ve been busy developing new patterns using mYak Fibers yarns. I was thrilled when Paola reached out to ask if I would like to teach at their retreat in the Dolomites, planned for June 2025. It has always been a dream of mine to join one of their retreats. I drooled over the pictures they shared on Instagram from previous events.
¨
So, let’s jump to today. Telling you that I will be teaching at the Creative Stitches Retreat with mYak in the DOLOMITES in June 2025. Seriously? I’ll be sharing more about it on YouTube, but I’m excited to announce it here on the blog as well. If this retreat sounds interesting to you, click here for more information and registration details. I hope to see you there for some knitting in the garden, in the Dolomites view, xx Mo
