Hello, my darling daffodil! Today, I have an absolutely stunning, crocheted shawl to share with you. I think you’re going to adore the lacy Linda shawl, so I hope you’ll keep reading for all the delightful details!
Linda was designed by Pam Meek. When asked about the inspiration for her pattern, Pam said, “This shawl is named in honor of a lovely friend of mine. At 87 years old, Linda is one of the most active and resilient women I know. We have spent many an hour together quilting. As we work, Linda often tells me stories of growing up and having to make do in rural Oklahoma, and every time we meet, she teaches me something new. She inspires and encourages me to push my own boundaries and try new things.”
“I hope that today you try something new and push your own boundaries. Push aside the things that are holding you back from achieving your full potential, and reach for the sky!”
“P.S. Linda, don’t tell anyone, but I think you’re a pretty good one, too!”
This is a Beginner to Adventurous Beginner level pattern and is perfect for crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches include foundation single crochet (optional) and single and double crochet stitches. The pattern includes written instructions only.
The Linda shawl is crocheted with our luscious Yak Silk Lace yarn, which is pure luxury! When yak is combined with silk, you get an amazingly soft, lustrous, silky, saturated yarn that is impossible to ignore! Yak Silk Lace is a luscious, 2-ply blend of 50% ultra-soft yak down fiber and 50% lustrous silk. It’s buttery, creamy to the touch, and shimmery with dreamlike softness. Colors dyed onto this yarn base are rich, saturated, and bold. Perfect for sensual, soft shawls, scarves, baby clothes, socks, hats, and whatever you desire! Hold it double for projects requiring a thicker yarn. Projects made with Yak Silk Lace will be adored and treasured for years on end, and it’s loaded with yardage with 680 yds/630 m per skein!
The sample shown here was crocheted with colors Fish Yak Silk Lace (A) and Pisces Dream Yak Silk Lace (B). You’ll need approximately 1250 yds / 1143 m (including 34 yds / 31 m each for trim) total [A) 630 yds / 576 m and B) 620 yds / 567 m].
