I discovered I’m not much of an egg-dyer — I prefer to accessorize my eggs instead. So I made these tiny party-hat-topped Easter eggs that are ready to celebrate after the hunt. They’re quick, cheerful, and perfect for a little extra whimsy. Make one (or a few) for yourself — everything feels more festive with a party hat.

Mini party hat template
Scrapbook paper (not cardstock — too stiff for these tiny hats)
Mini pom-poms
Eggs (real or faux)
White glue
Double-stick tape
Scissors
Pencil
How to make them:
1. Print the mini party hat template and trace it onto your scrapbook paper. Cut out the shapes carefully.
2. Roll each cutout into a small cone and secure the seam with a tiny bit of glue or tape. Hold until it starts to set so the cone keeps its shape.
3. Add a mini pom-pom to the tip of each cone with a small dot of white glue. Press briefly and allow to dry completely.

Attaching the hats:
4. Run a thin line of glue just inside the base edge of the cone. Press the hat gently onto the top of the egg and hold it in place for several seconds until it starts to adhere.
5. Let the glue dry fully before handling. If you prefer removable hats, use a small square of double-stick tape inside the cone instead of glue.

Tips and variations:
– Use patterned scrapbook paper for a playful look or metallic paper for extra sparkle.
– Swap glue for double-stick tape if you want hats that can be removed and reused.
– Create coordinating hats in different sizes to fit dyed, painted, or plastic eggs.
– Make a tiny stack of hats as a decorative accent for your Easter table.

These little hats are a fast and charming way to dress up eggs for a party, centerpiece, or Easter basket. I recommend making extras — the Easter Bunny might want one too!

Final note: Have fun and personalize the hats to match your decor or party theme. These tiny accessories add an instant dose of charm and are great for gifting or displaying.
