Marguerite was designed by Donielle Oliver Showvay. When asked about the inspiration for her pattern, Donielle said, “Marguerite is a French word meaning ‘daisy.’ This light and airy stole was inspired by the delicate daisies I enjoyed seeing growing wild on the mountainsides in Montana several years ago. This shawl is perfect for draping gently over your shoulders on slightly cooler summer evenings, whether you’re on a special night out or simply a casual walk with a friend. To create the cute, little daisy motifs, extra loose stitches are made and then wrapped in the center. The open lacework between the rows of daisies resembles tiny hearts.”

This is an Intermediate level pattern and is perfect for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. The techniques used are increasing and decreasing, making extra loose stitches for the flower motifs, and wrapping stitches. Video tutorials are included for these techniques.

The sample shown here was crocheted with colors Ram Yak Silk Lace (A) and Aries Passion Yak Silk Lace (B) and used approximately 1224 yds/1119 m total (612 yds/ 560 m of each color).
