Knit This Beautiful Sweater Scarf Pattern Today – Interlaced – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Interlaced was designed by Becca Leith. When asked about her pattern, Becca said, “Interlaced is a sweater scarf pattern that is suitable for a variety of knitters, both new and experienced. Made from cables and fun textures, it is very rewarding and pleasing to knit. The name, Interlaced, comes from the connectedness of the cables. I personally love designing and knitting items with cables because they never fail to look so beautiful in the final piece.”

“The simple nature of the pattern, combined with the intriguing textures, makes it beautiful to work in a variety of colors. If you want, you can knit the sleeves in an alternate color to the scarf, but I made them the same color for the sample.”

This Intermediate level pattern is for knitters who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include provisional cast on, reading charts, cables, and mattress stitch.

Interlaced is knitted with our cozy Crema Worsted yarn, which is a luxurious blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool and 30% Mulberry Silk. It’s a luscious, shimmering, 8-ply yarn that is bouncy and long-lasting and has 192 yds/175 m per skein. With excellent structure, a soft hand, and a subtle glow, this yarn is lovely for shawls, sweaters, accessories, blankets, baby items, and so much more! Crema Worsted is a dreamy yarn that takes the dye incredibly well, which results in fabulous, hand-dyed shades!

The pattern is offered in sizes XS (S, M, L) (XL, 2XL, 3XL) (4XL, 5XL), which correspond to finished bust sizes of 29 (33, 37, 41) (45, 49, 53) (57, 61)” / 74 (84, 94, 104) (114, 125, 135) (145, 155) cm. The sample is shown in a size Small and is modeled on a 34″ (86 cm bust).

The sample shown here was made with our soothing Dew Like Diamonds Crema Worsted yarn. You will need four to seven skeins of Crema Worsted yarn, depending on your selected size, or approximately 620 (680, 740, 810) (930, 980, 1120) (1200, 1270) yds / 567 (622, 677, 741) (850, 896, 1024) (1097, 1161) m total.

We made a video tutorial demonstrating how to work the provisional cast on, mattress stitch, and cables featured in this pattern. Take a look!

The pattern includes written and charted instructions, as well as a schematic. You will need to be able to read charts to knit this pattern.
