Hello, my sweet! Today, I have a super fun, incredibly colorful, knitted shlanket pattern that is going to give you hours upon hours of joy as you knit it. Keep reading to learn all about this week’s pattern!
Horology was designed by Pam Meek. When asked about her pattern, she said, “Horology is the study and measurement of time. I have always been fascinated by clocks and timekeeping beginning in my school days when I learned how various ancient cultures used water clocks to track the passage of time. Inspired by a repeating lace pattern called Ginkgo Leaves and knitted with the Zodiac Hues Luster Sport Mini Kit, this pattern will hopefully delight you for many hours to come.”
This is an Intermediate level pattern that is perfect for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include color changes, lace stitches, and adding optional beads.Horology is knitted with our Zodiac Hues Luster Sport Mini Kit [approx. 175 yds/160 m per skein (2100 yds/1920 m per 12-skein kit)]. Our beautifully shimmering and soft Luster Sport yarn is the perfect choice for this scrumptious shlanket. Once you’ve worked with Luster Sport, you’re going to fall head over heels in love with its yummy, squishy goodness! Luster Sport is a blend of 50% Superwash Merino Wool and 50% Lyocell, a plant fiber that provides the glow of silk without the price, and the shine is out-of-this-world stunning! Luster Sport has 395 yds/361 m per full-sized skein, and our Luster Sport Mini yarn has approximately 175 yds/160 m per 50-gram skein.
The sample shown used approximately 1966 yds/1798 m total: Color A: 175 yds/160 m, Color B: 168 yds/154 m, Colors C – J: 160 yds/146 m each, Color K: 168 yds/154 m, and Color L: 175 yds/ 160 m. The sample shown here was knitted using the colors in this order: magenta, dark red, red, orange, yellow, green, light blue-green, teal, dark blue, blue, cool violet, and warm purple.
