Hello, my lil’ sweet pea! This week, I have an adorable, flower inspired, knitted tank top pattern that I am so pleased to share with you! It’s perfect for warm, sunny days or as a layering piece when the weather is a bit cooler. I hope you’ll keep reading to learn all about this gorgeous pattern!

Knit This Spring Tank Top Today – Pansy – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Pansy was designed by Kayla Baldwin. When asked about her pattern, Kayla said, “Embrace your inner romantic with the effortlessly beautiful Pansy Top. This delicate, floral, lace creation is the perfect blend of simple stitches and beautiful style. Pansy flowers are a symbol of love and romance, from the French ‘pensée,’ meaning thoughtfulness and remembrance. This top is knit from the bottom up with straightforward shaping. The delicate pansy lace panel at the bottom accentuates the v-neck bustline. Pansy is ideal for knitters ready to take their knitting to new heights. This top is a must-have for your wardrobe.”

This Intermediate level pattern is for knitters who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include garment construction, ability to follow charts or written instructions, decreases and increases, and Kitchener stitch.

Pansy is knitted with our scrumptious Sincere Sock yarn, which is a delightfully soft, sweet, and pleasant, fingering-weight yarn. This 3-ply blend gets its softness from Merino Wool and its strength from Nylon. The base takes the dye beautifully, which results in stunning, vibrant shades! It’s a wonderful yarn for everything from shawls and sweaters to socks, hats, mittens, baby items, blankets, and loads more! Sincere Sock is made from 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon and has 437 yds/400 m per skein.

The pattern is offered in sizes XS (S, M, L) (XL, 2XL, 3XL) (4XL, 5XL), which correspond to finished bust sizes of 30 (34, 38, 42) (46, 50, 54) (58, 62)’’ / 76 (86, 96.5, 106.5) (117, 127, 137) (147.5, 157.5). The sample is shown in a size Small and is modeled on a 34″ (86 cm bust) with 2″ (5 cm) of positive ease.

You will need two to three skeins of Sincere Sock yarn, depending on your selected size, or approximately 611 (682, 768, 849) (930, 1025, 1115) (1210, 1311) yds / 559 (624, 702, 776) (850, 937, 1020) (1106, 1199) m total. The sample shown here was knitted with our vibrant Beauty From Ashes Sincere Sock yarn.

We made a fun video in which I share how we got started in the yarn business! Take a look!
