I’m so excited to share our main bedroom reveal. We’ve taken our time decorating each room in the house, waiting until the right pieces arrived, and this one finally feels finished. When we bought the house this room was in rough shape—stained carpet and an odd kitchenette off the back that is now our closet—so seeing it transformed feels especially rewarding.
We wanted the space to feel light, bright and calming, so the palette is mostly whites and neutrals with one soft pop of color: shades of peach and pink. Below you’ll find the before-and-after photos and plenty of close-ups of the details. It was hard to narrow them down.

This room blends Jeff’s and my styles. We worked with Room & Board for structured pieces like the Architecture bed and a streamlined dresser, then layered softer textures, rattan accents and brass hardware for warmth. The contrast between structured furniture and tactile accents is exactly what we hoped for.
Most of our bedding is from Kip & Co., an Australian brand that recently launched in the U.S. Their linen and velvet pieces come in beautiful shades and the quality is excellent—everything feels luxurious and photographed beautifully.

Opposite the bed we created a gallery wall around the TV. The large Moroccan image is actually our Frame TV, which displays art when it’s off and looks like a framed piece. We watch TV to unwind, so having one that doubles as art made it an easy choice for the bedroom.
Framebridge helped with custom framing since many of our prints were irregular sizes. Mixing frames—white, gold and light wood—gave the wall a layered, collected look without feeling too matchy.

We also hung a couple of Arlo’s paintings—his early artwork now lives in our bedroom—and swapped an awkward ceiling fan for a rattan pendant. The pendant makes such a difference in the room’s mood.

This was the first time I layered rugs: a vintage Moroccan rug set the palette and was layered over a thick cable-knit rug to anchor the larger room and make the pattern pop. The Moroccan piece has charming little motifs that feel story-like, and layering rugs added depth and texture.

Another Mindwelling room in the books—what do you think? The final piece of our main suite, the bathroom, is currently being demoed, so stay tuned.
