Above you can see the square that Amy  made, featuring 3 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 3 colors! (I’m doing a stash buster, so these colors will change throughout the year. This is my last Evergreen one as I work through the rainbow!)

My Notes: The Effortless 12 Inch Square is, indeed, the perfect square to relax with! The well-written instructions are easy to follow, and once you’ve got the “idea” you’re off and running.  One small change I did make was using front post extended double crochet stitches in place of the front post double crochets for the last 2-3 rounds. This prevented the sides from pulling in, and gave me nice straight edges – after blocking.

Sizing: My square got to 12″ as written. But everyone’s gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.

What I Did:

I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):

Color A: Evergreen
B:
White
C:
Light Gray

This square required a mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method.
