My Notes: Which way do you think you’ll use it – horizontal or vertical stripes? The Baby Bobbles Blanket Square is a fun and relaxing square to make! No bobbins are needed for these rows, as we work with only one color at a time. (Lots of rest has me back on my game, so that might be a big help too, haha!) Puff stitches add tons of texture, and keep it interesting. This is a fun evening make perfect for your color creativity – I just know we’re going to see some amazing ones!

Sizing: After making the pattern as written, my square measured 10″. So I added a round of dc and another round of hdc, and that got me to 12″. But everyone’s gauge is different, so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to ensure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down, not diagonally/corner to corner.
What I Did:
I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Stripe 1 (Color A) – Merlot
Stripe 2 (Color B) – Mallard
Stripe 3 (Color C) – Black
Stripe 4 (Color B) – Cornsilk
Stripe 5 (Color A) – Boysenberry
Trim – Black
This square required a mild blocking, so I used the wet blocking method.
