If you live in Los Angeles and want neighborhoods that go all out for Halloween, here are our top picks for decorated streets and houses that make for a great Halloween walk or scavenger hunt.
After dozens of evening strolls across the city, we found the neighborhoods that deliver the biggest concentration of impressive displays — everything from elaborate inflatables and thousands of pumpkins to themed facades and theatrical lighting. These areas are ideal when you want to see a lot of creative decorating in a short amount of time.
Toluca Lake

Near Moorpark, a few streets behind Trader Joe’s, you’ll find a pocket of Toluca Lake that goes pretty all out for Halloween. Winding through the side streets off Moorpark reveals a mix of bold blow-up displays, entire lawns filled with carved pumpkins, and houses with distinct themes, including rock-and-roll and movie-inspired setups.

Must See Homes:
- Lilley Hall (10104 Moorpark St.) – A local favorite featuring hundreds of jack-o-lanterns lighting the front lawn; it’s a standout at Halloween and during the holidays.
- Mariota Ave & Clybourn Ave – Both streets have several highly decorated homes. Park on Moorpark and walk south and north to take in the displays; the Nightmare Before Christmas–themed house sits on Clybourn south of Moorpark.
- Giant Pumpkin Inflatable (Navajo St.) – This home features a two-story inflatable pumpkin, coordinated music and an eye-catching setup worth seeing in person.
Parking on Moorpark gives you easy walking access to several decorated blocks, but it’s also worth driving further through the neighborhood — many impressive displays are spread across the area.

Burbank

Burbank covers a wide area, but several neighborhoods concentrate impressive displays, with many streets and individual homes that transform for Halloween. Use Porto’s on Magnolia as a convenient starting point; heading east and weaving through the cross streets will lead you to numerous decorated blocks.
Given Burbank’s connection to film and television — and the many industry professionals who live there — it’s no surprise the Halloween displays often feel theatrical and detailed. Tim Burton’s influence is noticeable here too, and you’ll see Jack Skellington–inspired decorations around town.

Must-See Homes:
- Haunted House Experience (907 N. California St.) – This home builds a full haunted-house façade in front of the property each year. The display and experience change annually, so expect new surprises when you visit.
- Holiday Fantasies Come To Life – A home that converts into a castle-like scene with an abundance of decorations, often showcasing a theatrical, Disney-inspired style.
- Haunted Mansion Holiday House (N Catalina St., just south of West Jeffries Ave.) – Located a bit farther from Burbank’s main epicenters, this decorated home is a memorable find for fans of elaborate displays.
While in Burbank, check out the local Halloween shops along Magnolia Blvd — specialty stores there are great for browsing and picking up festive items.

Larchmont & Hancock Park
The grand homes in Larchmont and Hancock Park often go all out for Halloween, combining elegant architecture with striking seasonal decor. This makes for a pleasant evening walk where you can appreciate both the decorations and the historic homes themselves.
A useful area to explore is roughly between Beverly and 6th Street, and between Rossmore and Van Ness. There’s also a charming small pumpkin patch on Larchmont between Melrose and Beverly that adds to the neighborhood atmosphere. A few streets slightly west in Hancock Park usually feature especially ornate displays as well.

Honorable Mention – “The Witch’s House”

The Spadena House, often called “The Witch’s House” (516 Walden Dr., Beverly Hills), is a year-round attraction that feels especially fitting at Halloween. Its storybook architecture and whimsical details make it a fun stop for families and visitors seeking a unique photo opportunity.
Enjoy exploring these Halloween neighborhoods in Los Angeles — our family certainly loves wandering these streets and taking in the creative spirit each year. Whether you’re hunting for the biggest displays, themed setups, or charming neighborhood vibes, these areas offer a fantastic Halloween experience.
