Where to Buy Baskets: Top Places I Recommend

Where to Buy Baskets

Besides rugs, baskets are one of my favorite home finds. They’re versatile, attractive, and practical—serving as storage and decor at the same time. Around our house we use baskets for toys, toilet paper, bath items, linens, pens and more. They also function beyond storage as bags, trash cans, hampers, bowls and planters, making them one of the most useful decor pieces you can own.

Below are my favorite places to buy handmade baskets from around the world, what each shop specializes in, and why I love them. I previously shared a similar round-up for vintage rugs and readers seemed to enjoy it, so I hope this basket guide is helpful for you too.

Green Tile Shower | Master Bathroom

Xinh & Co

Xinh & Co is a go-to for us—several of their baskets live in different rooms of our home. They offer a broad range of natural baskets sourced from countries like Mexico, Vietnam and Zimbabwe, and their pieces serve many functions. I love their storage baskets in the bathroom, a larger piece for stuffed animals in Arlo’s room, and a tiered hanging basket in the kitchen. The shop also carries colorful wool tassels that pair beautifully with baskets, and their belly baskets are especially charming for seasonal uses like Easter.

Design Dua Changing Basket

Design Dua

Design Dua focuses on baby and nursery baskets—changing baskets, bassinet-style baskets and stands that are both beautiful and functional. We used a changing basket and bassinet when our son was little and I appreciate that they offer well-crafted options. They even have doll-sized versions that make thoughtful gifts for older siblings who want a little hands-on “practice” with baby gear.

Ollie Ella Baskets

Olli Ella

Olli Ella makes the sweetest kid-focused baskets and useful home staples. Their wheeled baskets and pastel hues are delightful for children, and their bike baskets and basket bags are playful and practical. They offer storage baskets that also work as toys or bags—one of our favorites can double as a miniature dollhouse. If you have little ones, their designs are definitely worth a look.

Connected Goods Basket

Connected Goods

Connected Goods is great for neutral, well-sized basics. Their nesting baskets are especially useful for flexible storage and they offer a variety of sizes and proportions that make organizing simple. If you’re looking for oversized floor baskets or classic bolga baskets, this brand has dependable options in clean, versatile tones.

Indego Africa Baskets

Indego Africa

Indego Africa stands out for its bold patterns and unique color combinations. Their woven pieces and basket bags feature striking palettes and handcrafted detail. The company partners with artisan women in Ghana and Rwanda, and invests profits into educational and entrepreneurship programs—so purchases support meaningful work in those communities while bringing distinctive design into your home.

Blue and Terra Cotta Bathroom Renovation

Plum & Sparrow

Plum & Sparrow made a changing basket and a moses basket we love. Their handle-free market baskets are excellent for toy and bathroom storage, and their colorful market baskets are adorable seasonal picks. Their products tend to sell quickly, so following them for launch updates helps if you’re after a specific item.

My Colorful Office Makeover

Baba Souk

Baba Souk offers vibrant, lidded Moroccan baskets that bring a bold pop of color to any room. I featured a couple in my office, and they’re a favorite for storing small items (and for little ones who love to hide treasures inside). Their colorways are joyful and distinctive.

Room with multiple baskets

Nina Nest

Nina Nest carries many colorful and striped baskets that are perfect for creating a coordinated, playful storage setup. If you’re aiming for a rainbow or color-blocked look for toy storage or a playroom, their selection makes it easy to mix and match sizes and patterns for a fun, organized result.
