Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! What better way to start the year than with this charming strawberry-themed party. Annabelle’s strawberry tutu inspired her mom Sara—known as The Homespun Hostess—to create a delightful Strawberry Party. The celebration combined farm-ready red gingham, playful polka dots and vintage touches for a sweet, timeless look that works for winter-feel cravings or an early Valentine’s vibe.

The family picnic table served as the gathering spot, with each little guest finding a mason jar cupcake at her place—an inviting and cozy touch that fit perfectly with the theme.

I loved the sandwich packaging Sara designed—custom labels tied with yarn added a handcrafted feel. Chalkboard signs labeled the food offerings, like mini strawberry pies, strawberry salads and, naturally, strawberry sodas.

And the desserts were the star. Sara’s sister, a talented baker, curated an abundant dessert bar that balanced retro charm with farm-chic style: a ruffled ombre cake, strawberry cake pops, decorated cookies, macarons and cupcakes. Vintage bottles of strawberry milk rounded out the spread, giving the table a nostalgic finish.

Guests left with jars of fresh strawberry jam tied with gingham and baker’s twine—a sweet, handmade favor that echoed the day’s details and gave everyone a tasty reminder of the celebration.
