Marriage is full of compromises, but at least we agree on one thing: nothing beats a chocolate chip cookie. When we developed removable chocolate chips for the shop, the idea of a cookies-and-milk couples costume was irresistible. Jeff wasn’t interested in dressing as a milk carton—he prefers to dress as people—so a milkman was the perfect complement. We love how it turned out.

DIY Milk + Cookies Couples Costume
Total Time: One Hour
Supplies
For the Cookie:
Tan dress
Chocolate chip pieces (removable)
Plastic milk bottle
White felt
Milk bottle label (printable)
Tape
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Stretchy headband
For the Milk Man:
White short sleeve button-down shirt
White pants
Black bow tie
Black shoes
Milkman hat
Milk bottles and carrier
Directions
1. Print and cut the milk bottle label and attach it to the plastic milk bottle with tape.
2. Cut a piece of white felt into an abstract round shape to resemble spilled milk.
3. Pinch one end of the felt shape and stuff it inside the plastic milk bottle. Secure it along the rim with hot glue.
4. Hot glue a stretchy headband to the milk bottle so it can be worn as a hat.
5. For the cookie dress, remove the backing from the chocolate chips. To reduce excess adhesive, stick them once or twice to an old t-shirt, then press them onto the dress in a random pattern.
