While I’m off being a newlywed, I invited some talented friends to share DIYs, recipes, and more to help you get ready for Thanksgiving and beyond. Today the ladies from Garlic My Soul are taking over!

Hello everyone! We love covering for Kelly while she’s off becoming a Mrs., because she did the same for our blog back in September. We wanted to share a simple recipe that eases you into the cozy flavors of autumn.
This smoothie is designed to bring a little calm to the chaos of darker evenings. Falling back a few weeks ago was a gift—an extra hour to sleep, play, or explore the farmers’ market in mild weather. But the seasonal shift also brings shorter days and earlier evenings, which can feel dreary when you arrive home after work. This smoothie adds brightness to those moments.

Ingredients:
1 medium apple (Gala or Honeycrisp recommended)
1 medium banana
1 handful leafy greens (spinach or kale work well)
½ avocado
½ cup apple cider
Ginger to taste (start with a small amount and add more if you like a stronger kick)
Preparation: Place all ingredients in a blender, adding them from liquid and softest to firmest: start with the apple cider, then avocado, banana, leafy greens, and finish with the apple. Grate fresh ginger into the blender a bit at a time, blending and tasting until the spice level suits you. Blend until smooth. This recipe yields one hearty smoothie or two smaller servings.

This smoothie is a quick way to kick-start your morning or carry you through a mid-afternoon slump as daylight fades. It combines fruit, leafy greens, and healthy fats to support immunity and energy as cooler weather arrives. It’s sweet enough to feel like a treat but packed with nutrients—perfect for a seasonal routine.
Thanks to the Garlic My Soul team for this recipe. Give it a try and enjoy a cozy, nourishing sip this season.
