Ready for day two of Donut Week? Since these involve marshmallows, I think you’ll be excited. After making confetti marshmallows and realizing how easy homemade marshmallows are, I wanted to turn them into everything — including donuts. A nod to Tiffanie, who experimented with a donut pan version of marshmallow donuts last year and inspired this idea. I added a simple “frosting” and sprinkles to my marshmallow donuts because, well, that’s what I do these days. Let’s get started!

Supplies and Ingredients:
– One batch of homemade marshmallows (I used a reliable recipe that yielded about a dozen 3″ donuts)
– Biscuit cutter (I lost the inner ring on mine, so I used a pastry tip to cut the center)
– Chocolate or candy melts for the “frosting”
– Spoon for spreading the frosting
– Sprinkles for decorating
Make your marshmallows according to the recipe you prefer and remove them from the pan once set. Use a biscuit cutter to cut donut shapes from the marshmallow slab. If the cutter sticks, spray it lightly with cooking spray before cutting to get clean edges.

Melt your chocolate or candy melts and use a spoon to frost the marshmallow donuts. Work quickly but gently so the marshmallows keep their shape. While the coating is still soft, add sprinkles for a classic donut look. Let the coating set on a parchment-lined tray.

These marshmallow donuts are playful on their own, and they also make a fun twist on classic treats. I’m already imagining them in s’mores—perfect for summer around the fire.
