Here’s a super cute and delightfully simple semi-homemade Easter dessert: Easter Bunny Sno Balls. If you grew up snacking on sno ball cakes, these will bring back memories—and they’re even easier to make than you think.
This idea is similar to our popular bunny ear ice cream, but these don’t melt, so you can prepare them ahead of time. They’re perfect for an Easter egg hunt spread or a kid-friendly dessert table, and they’re fun to make with children.

Ingredients
- Hostess Sno Balls
- White candy melts
- Pink candy melts
- White buttercream
- Piping bag
- Medium round tip
- For homemade buttercream:
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
-
Melt the candy melts according to package directions. On parchment paper, pipe white candy melts into two bunny ear shapes about 2–3 inches long. While the white is still warm, fill the center of each ear with a small amount of pink candy melts. Chill until fully set.
-
Use a small, sharp knife to make two shallow slits on the top of each sno ball where you want the ears to sit. Gently insert two ears into each sno ball so they stand upright.
-
To make the buttercream: beat the softened butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until combined. Stir in the vanilla and milk, then beat for another minute until light and fluffy.
-
Fill a piping bag fitted with a medium round tip and pipe a small round tail of buttercream on the back of each sno ball. Serve immediately or refrigerate until needed.
