3 Irresistible Caramel Apple Recipes to Try This Fall

Three Crazy Caramel Apples To Try

Caramel apples are an autumn favorite — but these three creative takes take the classic treat up a notch. Rachel created three delicious variations: Funfetti, Cookie Butter, and a Candy-Strewn Halloween version that uses leftover sweets.

Two must-know details: the Funfetti apple is coated with cake-batter Oreo crumbs, and the Cookie Butter apple features a cookie-butter caramel coating that’s irresistible.

Prep Time1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time1 hour 30 minutes
Servings: 3 Apples

Ingredients

  • 3 apples we used Granny Smith
  • 3 sticks for dipping
  • For the Funfetti Apple:
  • White chocolate candy melts
  • Golden Birthday Cake Oreos
  • Assorted rainbow sprinkles
  • For the Cookie Butter Apple:
  • Cookie Butter
  • White chocolate candy melts
  • Crumbled Biscoff cookies
  • For the Leftover Halloween Candy Apple:
  • Soft caramels
  • Halloween candy

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry each apple thoroughly, then carefully insert a stick into the center of each apple.
  • Cookie Butter Apple: Melt equal parts cookie butter and white chocolate candy melts. The white chocolate helps the coating set so it won’t run. Dip the apple into the mixture, allow excess to drip off, then roll in crumbled Biscoff cookies. Optionally drizzle extra melted cookie butter on top for decoration.
  • Funfetti Apple: Melt white chocolate candy melts until smooth. Dip and twirl the apple in the chocolate to fully coat it, letting excess drip off. Roll the coated apple in crushed Golden Birthday Cake Oreos and finish with rainbow sprinkles for a festive look.
  • Leftover Halloween Candy Apple: Melt soft caramels until runny and dip the apple, allowing excess to drip off. Press the bottom into colorful candy like Nerds, then attach pieces of your favorite leftover Halloween candy across the apple by hand. Be playful and creative with the placement.
  • After decorating, chill the apples for at least one hour so the coatings fully harden. Serve and enjoy!
