Materials
Yarn: You can use any cotton yarn for amigurumi.
My yarns HELLO DK COTTON (50g/125m). My color choices; green, light pink, red.
Hook: 2,20 mm
One safety eye: 4,5 mm
Fiberfill
Black and white thread
Embroidery needle
Abbreviations
rnd: round
mr: magic ring
sc: single crochet
ch: chain
inc: 2 single crochet in same stitch
dec: single crochet decrease
sc3tog: single crochet three together
sist: slip stitch
blo: back loops only
*: repeat instructions “x” times
*Do not join rounds, work in a continuous spiral unless otherwise stated.
SALTY THE CRAB AMIGURUMI FREE CROCHET PATTERN
Body and Head
Rnd 1- ch 7, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook: 1inc, 4sc, 4sc in same stitch, (don’t turn your work, crochet on the other side of the ch) 4sc, 1inc=16sc
Rnd 2-1inc, 6sc, 2inc, 6sc, 1inc=20sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*10=30sc
Rnd 4-5-30sc (2)
Change color with red.
Rnd 6-13-30sc (8)
→ Attact the eyes between 8 and 9 Rounds. Distance between the eyes 3 stitches.
Rnd 14-(3sc,1dec)*6=24sc
Rnd 15-(1sc,1dec)*8=16sc
Stuff Head firmly, adding more either sides, keep the shape as you can.
Rnd 16-(8dec)=8sc
→Cut yarn and pull together the remaining stitches.
Finish off.
Arms (make 2)
First Piece: Use red yarn.
Rnd 1-5sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(5inc)=10sc
Rnd 3=10sc Finish it.
Second Piece: Use red yarn.
Rnd 1-4sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(4inc)=8sc
Rnd 3- Join with a sc to the first piece. Working on first piece, 3sc, 2inc, 4sc; working on second piece, 3sc, 1inc, 4sc. (21 sc)
Rnd 4-21sc Fill it in crocheting.
Rnd 5-4sc, 2dec, 7sc, 1dec, 4sc=18sc
Rnd 6-(4sc,1dec)*3=15sc
Rnd 7-(3sc,1dec)*3=12sc
Rnd 8-9sc, 1dec, 1sc=11sc
Rnd 9-8sc, 1dec, 1sc=10sc
Rnd 10-7sc, 1sc3tog=8sc
Rnd 11-6sc, 1dec=7sc
Rnd 12-7sc →Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
Legs (make 2)
Use red yarn.
