Knit This Gorgeous Blanket Today – Synchronicity – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Synchronicity was designed by Becca Leith. When asked about the inspiration for this pattern, she said, “Synchronicity is special to me because it showcases different designs that incorporate cables flowing into and synchronizing with each other. Cables are my personal favorite thing to knit, and they are super easy to do. Adding them into this pattern helps to show that anyone can knit cables, even if they may intimidate you at first!”

“This blanket is created by knitting the center section of the blanket in a gradient of ten colors. Then, stitches are picked up along each edge to knit the border in ribbing with the last two colors. The colors are held four strands at a time to make the blanket thicker and warmer.”

This is an Intermediate level pattern that is perfect for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include provisional cast on, Italian Bind Off, ribbing, various simple cables, M1L, M1R, and reading charts. This pattern includes written and charted instructions, as well as a schematic. You must be able to read charts in order to knit this pattern.

Synchronicity is knitted with our sumptuous Yak Silk Lace yarn, which is pure luxury! When yak is combined with silk, you get an amazingly soft, lustrous, silky, saturated yarn that is impossible to ignore! Yak Silk Lace is a luscious, 2-ply blend of 50% ultra-soft yak down fiber and 50% lustrous silk. It’s buttery, creamy to the touch, and shimmery with dreamlike softness. Colors dyed onto this yarn base are rich, saturated, and bold. Perfect for sensual, soft shawls, scarves, baby clothes, socks, hats, and whatever you desire! Hold it double for projects requiring a thicker yarn. Projects made with Yak Silk Lace will be adored and treasured for years on end, and it’s loaded with yardage with 680 yds/630 m per skein!

The sample shown here was knitted with our 12-skein Speckled Zodiac Hues Yak Silk Lace Kit, and used approximately 7,200-8,160 yds/6,584-7,462 m total (600-680 yds/549-622 m per color).

We made a video tutorial demonstrating how to marl colors and make two equally sized center-pull balls from one hank. Take a look!
