Write each category on an envelope. If your handwriting isn’t neat, print the labels: type the category names in a document, print them on thin cardstock, then align and tape the envelope over the text and print again directly onto the envelope for a clean look.
Also print the category names on colored cardstock and pair each with a jar for votes. Provide strips of paper and pens so guests can write their picks and drop them in the corresponding jars.
Have pre-cut cards ready to write the winners’ names on once votes are tallied. Attach balloons to the labeled envelopes — tying a length of sequin trim to the balloon adds a festive touch — and keep the envelopes empty until it’s time to announce the winners. When voting wraps up, write the winners’ names on the cards, slip each card into its matching envelope, and seal it.
