Ready for a St. Patrick’s Day DIY project? Pull out your craft supplies and get set for a cheerful rainbow fascinator you can wear on March 17th—or anytime you want a colorful, playful accessory. This design is flexible: swap colors or sizes to suit tea parties, bridal showers, or any festive event that calls for fun hair flair.

Supplies:
Tissue paper in rainbow colors
Headband
Scissors
Hot glue
Tape
Step 1: Cut two 6-inch squares of each tissue paper color. For each square, pinch the center and twist tightly to form a small “poof.” Repeat so you have two poofs of every color.

Step 2: Group the red, orange, and yellow poofs together (six pieces total). Pinch and twist them at the base, then secure tightly with tape. Make sure the tape catches all layers; if any pieces slip, add more tape. Repeat the same process for green, blue, and purple poofs.

Step 3: Use hot glue to attach the red-orange-yellow section to one side of the headband. Press and hold until the glue sets to ensure a secure bond.

Step 4: Glue the green-blue-purple section on the opposite side of the headband, overlapping slightly with the first cluster. Adjust the overlap so the colors blend and the base tape is hidden.

Step 5: Gently fan and fluff each tissue poof so the tape and glue are concealed and the colors are clearly visible. Trim any uneven edges if desired for a neater look.

Final step: Wear your fascinator and celebrate. This lightweight, colorful accessory is perfect for adding whimsy to outfits and is easy to remake in different palettes for other occasions.
