Fruity Garden Party Ideas for a Fresh Summer Celebration

Balloon decor

Ready for a fruit-filled celebration? We’re excited to share the second party we styled during our Palm Springs shoot — a bright, playful fruit garden party perfect for the end of summer. This theme works beautifully for bridal showers, baby showers, or just a cheerful backyard gathering.

The inspiration came from the fruit slice balloons we recently added to the shop. We built a bold balloon garland that included those fruit slices (a tutorial will be shared soon) and carried the fruit motif through every detail. Cushions, table decor, oversized foam fruit centerpieces and even a pineapple cake helped bring the concept to life. A dramatic balloon garland really provides the “wow” moment; after that you can mix in a few statement accessories and design accents to complete the look.

A favorite detail was the fruit cart — common in Los Angeles for selling fresh fruit, but also available to rent. It was a delightful touch that made the party feel extra special. We used coconut halves as serving bowls and showcased fresh fruit as edible decor. You can also turn a fruit cart into a playful, non-traditional bar station.

For drinks we made piña coladas and garnished them with candy fruit drink stirrers — a fun, whimsical detail that keeps with the theme.

Quick DIY charger idea: add a pop of color to plain plates with craft paint and finish with a non-toxic finishing oil for protection and shine.
