Super Soft Super Saver?!
We’re all familiar with Red Heart Super Saver – but you might not yet have had the chance to try Red Heart Super Saver Brushed. This yarn shares a name and fiber content, as well as a great skein size and easy care with the original. But the feel is very different! Brushed features a soft halo, creating a soft and fuzzy fabric that is extra cozy.
Of course, you can use regular Red Heart Super Saver or your favorite medium-weight yarn to make the Ribbon Run Scarf – and the matching hat that will debut next week!

425 yds Red Heart Super Saver Brushed (4-worsted; 100% acrylic; 142 g/5 oz, 233 m/255 yds)
A – Shale (2 skeins)
B – Cream (1 skein)
Gauge: 11 dc = 4″
Size: Approximately 8″ wide x 76″ long
Stitch Multiple and Sizing: To customize, begin with a mult of 7 plus 2. Crochet approximately 27 ribbon sts for every 22 scarf sts.

RIBBON RUN SCARF INSTRUCTIONS:
Begin Scarf – Color A
Row 1 [RS]: FDC 212; turn. (212 sts)
Row 2 [WS]: Ch 1, sc in the first 2 sts, *ch 5, skip 4 sts, sc in the next 3 sts; rep from * across, turn. (92 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, *hdc in the next 3 sts, hdc in blo of each ch; rep from * across finishing last rep with hdc in the last 2 sts, turn. (242 sts)
Row 4: CSDC in first st, ch 2, skip 2 sts, *sc in front third loop of next 3 sts, ch 4, skip 5 sts; rep from * until 4 sts rem, ch 2, skip 3 sts, dc in last st, turn. (90 sc, 2 dc)
Row 5: Ch 1, hdc in the first st, hdc in blo of next 2 chs, *hdc in next 3 sts, hdc in blo of next 4 chs; rep from * until 6 sts rem, hdc in next 3 sts, hdc in blo of next 2 chs, hdc in last st, turn. (212 sts)
Row 6: CSDC in first st, dc in front third loop across until 1 st rem, dc in last st; turn.
Rows 7 and 8: CSDC in first st, dc in each rem st across; turn.
Row 9: Ch 1, hdc in each st across; turn.
Row 10: Rep Row 6.
Rows 11 – 13: Rep Row 7.
Row 14: Rep Row 9.
Row 15: Ch 1, blo sc in each st across. Set Scarf aside.
Make Ribbon – Color B
Row 1: FHDC 260, break yarn.
Assembly and Edging – Color A
Step 1: Thread the Ribbon through the holes created in Scarf Rows 2 and 4. Be sure not to twist the Ribbon. Secure the ends with stitch markers.
Step 2: Continuing with Color A, on RS of the scarf, ch 1, sc across ends of rows enclosing the end of the Ribbon to secure, ch 2, sc across base of Row 1, ch 2, sc across ends of rows enclosing the other end of the Ribbon, ch 2, sc across Row 15, ch 2; join to first st of Rnd and finish off.
