After our trip to the NYIGF in August, Jess of The Eagle’s Nest and I arranged a little creative exchange. I wanted her interior design eye to help finish my new living room, and she needed fresh ideas for her son Bryan’s first birthday. With the party scheduled for October, orange became the natural color choice. Plastic toy animals inspired the theme, and because Bryan loves anything that spins, pinwheels were part of the decorations. Jess used those simple elements to build a warm, playful fall celebration full of handmade details that appealed to guests of all ages.
Highlights include charming favor bags, a parade of toy animals crowning a carrot-shaped birthday cake, and festive bunting and pinwheels that brought movement and color to the space. The overall look is cozy and whimsical, balancing kid-friendly fun with polished touches adults would enjoy. Below are photos that capture the party’s key elements so you can pick your favorite details and try them at home.
