Block #17:
Ocean Foam Square
by Golden Lucy Crafts
Above you can see the square that she made, featuring 2 colors. Below is my CAL square, in my 3 colors!
The Details
My Notes: The Ocean Foam Square is our first MooglyCAL design from Golden Lucy Crafts, and I’m so excited to welcome her to the group! I’ve long admired her designs, which you can check out in her Moogly Designer Showcase. Her square is lovely, textured, and full of interest no matter what your color scheme! Round 8 is a little more tricky, but just take your time with it – it’s worth it!

Sizing: My square measured up to size as written. But everyone’s gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did: I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
Rnd 1: Light Gray
Rnd 2: Pewter
Rnd 3 and 4: White
Rnd 5: Light Gray
Rnd 6 and 7: Pewter
Rnd 8: Light Gray
Rnd 9 and 10: White
Rnd 11: Pewter
Rnd 12: Light Gray
Rnd 13: Pewter
Rnd 14: White
This square required moderate blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
