Clue #7 for Our 2024 Mystery Crochet Along (MCAL) is Here – Indivisible – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Hello, my sweet moonbeam! I am so excited to announce Clue #7 of our 2024 yearlong Mystery Crochet Along (MCAL) is here! I hope you’ll read on to learn how you can still sign up and join in on all of the fun!

Clue #7 for Our 2024 Mystery Crochet Along (MCAL) is Here – Indivisible – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Indivisible was designed by Johanna Huck. She says, “Indivisible will take you on a yearlong journey of exploring new stitches using spectacular colors, while reflecting on what’s important in life – connection, harmony, continuity, and happiness. Constructed by several very different pieces and using a variety of techniques, the full glory of Indivisible isn’t revealed until all the clues come together to build one big, harmonious unit. With the option of two different ways to finish the pattern, you will have the opportunity to create the ideal piece to fit your needs and desires.”

This pattern is an Adventurous Beginner to Intermediate level design and is for those crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Concepts include working to gauge, color changes, reading charts, special stitches, seaming, and blocking.

To crochet Indivisible, you will need 12 different colored skeins of our warm and silky soft Crema Worsted yarn or an equivalent amount of yarn/yardage in another worsted-weight yarn. For Clue #7, we used Halong Bay Crema Worsted.

Each month, we’ll let you know which color we used for that clue, but you can also create your own color combination. We DO recommend that you choose colors with a good amount of contrast among them, and crochet Indivisible with at least two different colors.

Crema Worsted is a luxurious, worsted-weight blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool and 30% Mulberry Silk. It’s a luscious, shimmering, 8-ply (4 strands of 2 plies each) yarn that is bouncy and long-lasting! With excellent structure, a soft hand, and a subtle glow, this yarn is lovely for shawls, sweaters, accessories, blankets, baby items, and so much more! It is a dreamy yarn that takes the dye incredibly well, which results in fabulous, hand-dyed shades! 192 yds/175 m per skein.

We’re also putting together an alternative set of Crema Worsted colors that could be used for the 2024 MCAL. The clue colors in this Deep Jewels palette are: C1) Mountain Stream, C2) Burnt Gold, C3) Allegory, C4) Parsnip, C5) Persia, C6) Take Chances, and C7) Fuchsia Glow Crema Worsted.

We’re also curating a set of Pearlescent Worsted colors that could be used for the 2024 MCAL. The clue colors in this Sacred Forest palette are: C1) Crystal, C2) Jane, C3) Chilled, C4) Idyllic, C5) Biscotti, C6) Cappuccino, and C7) Melted Chocolate Pearlescent Worsted.

Gauge is very important for this project because it will affect the amount of yarn needed. If you wish to make an item that only uses 12 skeins of Crema Worsted, you’ll want to make sure you match the gauges listed in the pattern.

We filmed a video for this clue. Take a look!
