Granada Grand Square

Above you can see the square that Andee made. Below is my CAL square, in my 3 colors of Red Heart With Love! (I’m doing a stash buster, so these colors will change throughout the year. This is my last Navy one as I work through the rainbow – one more color to go! The white and light gray are being carried throughout.)
Details for MooglyCAL2024 Block 21
My Notes: The Grenada Grand Square is a quick and pleasing pattern to crochet – I made it in one evening! This square is center out, and features the V stitch, creating a lacy and drapey square.
Helpful Links and Tutorials: Magic Circle (optional), STDC – Standing Double Crochet, CSDC – Chainless Starting Double Crochet (optional), and seamless join.
Sizing: To get the size just right, I ended up stopping at Round 13. But everyone’s gauge is different so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to ensure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
What I Did:
I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):
A: White
B: Navy
C: Light Gray
This square required a mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method.
