This book doesn’t pretend to teach you how to crochet, or dive into the philosophy of beanies… it’s all about the patterns! There is a page at the back where you can see the abbreviations used in this book, and a couple of general pattern reading notes. But that’s it!
The patterns in Crochet Messy Bun Hats call for a variety of yarns, including Red Heart Super Saver, Red Heart With Love, Bernat Premium Tweeds, Red Heart Roll With It Melange, and Red Heart Soft.
Almost all of the patterns call for #4 – Medium/Worsted yarns, and the outlier calls for a #6 – Super Bulky. This means you can do some serious stash-busting with this book!
