Ragdoll amigurumi is an easy way for beginners to learn how to create more complex 2D shapes. Simply by adding and dropping stitches, we can create the base for our toy. Ragdolls are worked flat, then sewn at the edges and stuffed.
This way we can achieve cute amigurumi dolls that are a bit flatter than usual, but comparably cuddly! Once you grasp the idea and method behind this technique, you can try designing your own toys. The main part here will be decorating them and strategic planning of color usage – you can play with stripes, embroidery, and many little details. Try it!
