Some of my fondest childhood memories come from slumber parties: movie marathons, junk food, late-night girl talk, and silly games like MASH. Today we’re bringing that nostalgia back with a complete guide to hosting the perfect Galentine’s Day slumber party. Over the next few days we’ll share three posts full of ideas, but here are the essentials: food, entertainment, and cozy pillow setups.
We teamed up with designer Danielle DeLorenzo to create a set of charming printables — including a chick-flick movie marathon poster — that feel both playful and polished. They’re great for setting the tone and making the night feel extra special.

Let’s start with food. Pizza is a classic choice for a slumber party, but dessert is where you can have fun. We kept it nostalgic with chocolate chip cookies and brownies, then added easy twists to make them party-ready.

BFF Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
For a fun heart-shaped cookie cake, use a heart silicone mold and either store-bought or homemade cookie dough. Press greased dough into the mold, making sure to fill every curve and point. Bake the mold on a cookie sheet at 325°F for approximately 15–18 minutes, depending on thickness, until golden brown. Let cool completely, then invert to release the cookie cake. Decorate with store-bought frosting or your favorite icing for a simple, crowd-pleasing dessert.

Sprinkled Brownie Phrases
Boxed brownie mix makes this fast and fun. Bake in a greased and parchment-lined 9×9 pan, and before baking, sprinkle the top with assorted sprinkles. Once cooled, lift the whole slab with the parchment and use large letter cookie cutters to cut out brownie letters for playful phrases. A single 9×9 pan yields several letters — perfect for decorating a dessert display or spelling out cheeky messages.

Now for entertainment: think chick flicks, nostalgic games, and a relaxed crafting session. These elements keep the night interactive and sweetly retro.

MASH Game Printable
MASH was a middle-school staple and it’s still delightfully entertaining. Danielle’s printable captures the notebook-paper vibe, making the game feel instantly nostalgic and adorable at any age.

Chick Flick Movie Marathon
Pull out classic romantic comedies and girl-power favorites for a movie marathon. We curated a must-watch list for the night and translated it into a printable movie lineup so guests know what to expect and can vote on the order.

Craft-Your-Own Galentine
Set up a crafting station with cards, cardstock, stickers, glitter glue, gel pens, and washi tape. Spend some time making Valentines for friends, coworkers, or anyone special. It’s low-pressure, creative, and leaves everyone with a thoughtful keepsake.

Pillow Par-tay!
Every great sleepover needs a soft, cozy space for movies and snacking. Gather every pillow and throw blanket in the house, add a few large stuffed animals or a novelty beanbag, and hang inexpensive heart decorations from the ceiling for a festive touch. A plush pillow pile turns a living room into the ultimate lounge zone.

As a playful MASH reveal from the shoot: my fantasy outcome was marrying James Corden, having four kids and a dog, living in a tiny New York City shack, driving a pink Cadillac, and dancing as a Beyoncé backup. Clearly MASH can still tap into daydreams.

We’ll be posting the DIY for the giant vintage chocolate box and the emoji heart pillow later this week. We had a blast putting this together and highly recommend bringing a Galentine’s slumber party to life — it’s an easy, fun way to celebrate friendship.
