I’ve been eager to try the clever folded-paper garland technique since Ally popularized it years ago. Inspired by that original heart garland, I finally experimented with a fruit-themed version and created this foldable paper strawberry garland. It folds flat for easy storage, yet opens into a charming, dimensional string of strawberries—perfect for seasonal displays, parties, or adding a playful touch to a room.

This project uses simple materials and folding techniques to create lightweight, reusable decorations. Because each strawberry nests and folds, the garland packs away compactly until the next season. The finished pieces have a handmade, polished look that works well for birthdays, summer gatherings, or as cheerful decor for a kitchen or kid’s room.
All photos are by Studio DIY, whose photography shows how the garland looks both open and folded. The strawberry shapes and paper choices give the garland a bright, fresh feel; you can vary size, color, and pattern to match any theme.
A special thanks to Jamie for modeling in the photos—her gingham dress complements the playful fruit motif. If you enjoy fruit-inspired crafts, there are more ideas and tutorials available from the same creative source to explore.
