I planned to save this DIY cotton candy piñata for what I thought was National Cotton Candy Day in December, only to discover there are actually several cotton candy days. Since July 31st is apparently another one, I’m more than happy to celebrate now instead of waiting five more months. I used the same basic structure from my pineapple piñata—cocoon lanterns are surprisingly versatile—and transformed it into a fluffy pink treat. Cotton candy is definitely having its moment.
