Crochet This Easy Shawl Today – Gratify – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Hello, my little sugar cookie! Today, I have an easy, beginner level, crocheted shawl to share with you. I think you’re going to love making this adjustable, meditative design. Read on to learn all about it!

Crochet This Easy Shawl Today – Gratify – Expression Fiber Arts | A Positive Twist on Yarn

Gratify was designed by little ol’ me, Chandi Agee. I really feel like the act of creating through crochet or knitting is deeply gratifying because it transforms simple strands into something meaningful. Each stitch is a moment of mindfulness, a tangible reminder of time well spent.

The stitching process soothes the mind, fuels creativity, and offers a sense of accomplishment as your hands bring an idea to life. There is such beauty in creating with our hands.

I wanted to design a super easy, one-row repeat pattern using the simplest of stitches, just chains and single crochets, so that anybody can do it. I wish you so much joy when working this lovely design!

This is a Beginner to Adventurous Beginner level pattern and is suitable for crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Skills/concepts include chaining, single crochet, and color changes.

Gratify is made with our luscious Buttery Sport yarn, which is squishy, bouncy, and buttery! What’s not to love about this super soft, lush, and cuddly sport-weight yarn that’s also machine washable? Made from 100% Superwash Superfine Merino Wool, this two-ply yarn produces fat, full stitches! No itchiness or scratchiness here! Use this fun, boingy yarn to make soft, supple projects that work up quickly. Buttery Sport has 300 yds/274 m  per 3.5 oz/100 g skein.

We used our Starlight Hues Buttery Sport Kit to make the sample shown here, and it used approximately 1470 yds/1344 m total: Color A: 277 yds/253 m, Color B: 277 yds/253 m, Color C: 277 yds/253 m, Color D: 277 yds/253 m, and Color E: 277 yds/253m.

We made a video showing how to get started making this shawl. Grab some yarn and a hook, and follow along with me! (Please note that the video erroneously instructs you to cast on an even number of stitches or 90 stitches. Instead, follow the correct instructions in the written pattern, and cast on 91 stitches or an odd number.)

This pattern includes written instructions only.

Download Gratify today! I hope you LOVE it!! Let me know in the comments below what you think about this beautiful, beginner friendly shawl.
