I’m known for wearing a giant bow — it’s rare that I leave the house without one. So I thought, why not bring a Garden Party vibe to hair bows? These felt bows topped with fresh blooms are perfect for a party activity: make several ahead of time, let guests choose a flower, and they can wear their creation during the event. When a bloom fades, you can replace it quickly; I also include a simple tip below for making the flower easily removable so the plain bow can be reused.

Supplies:
- Felt
- Fresh flowers (I used ranunculus)
- Hair clip (available at craft stores)
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Step-by-step:
1. Cut two pieces of felt: one 2″ x 10″ and one 1″ x 3″. Fold the larger piece in half and glue the ends together with hot glue to form a loop.

2. Pinch the center of the felt loop so the seam sits at the center back. Wrap the smaller felt piece around the center and glue the ends together at the back to secure the bow shape.

3. Trim the flower stem just below the bloom. Use hot glue to attach the hair clip to the back of the bow and glue the bloom to the front.
Tip for removable flowers: If you want to reuse the bow with different blooms, glue the flower to a small felt circle and attach it to the bow with a safety pin. This makes swapping flowers simple and keeps the bow in good condition for future use.

4. Once the clip and bloom are secured, pin the bow in your hair and enjoy your garden-party look.
