DIY Party Hat Treat Cones: Cute Snack Holders for Celebrations

Happy Earth Day, everyone! Last year I tackled a party-supply upcycle, and today I’m sharing a smaller, equally fun idea: transforming party hats and cake toppers into treat cones. Instead of tossing unused or unworn party hats, line them with a napkin or a piece of wax paper and fill them with sweets to send home with guests or display as a playful party centerpiece. If you have leftover cake or cupcake toppers, reuse them to add a bit of flair to each cone. I filled mine with donuts and cookies, but these cones work great with candy, popcorn, mini pastries, or any small treats you prefer.

If there’s one thing this work has taught me, it’s that party supplies often have a second life. Before you toss leftover hats, toppers, or other decorations, consider how they can be repurposed. A little creativity goes a long way toward reducing waste and making your celebration more memorable.
