Happy Monday! (I was singing that — hope you were too.) How was your weekend? Mine was delightfully screen-free, and I’m excited to be back with a fun week ahead. To kick things off, I want to share a couple of recent projects I made for Scarves.net. They invited me to take part in some DIY challenges, and since I love a good creative prompt, I happily said yes.
One challenge was to transform a scarf into a festive party item. Inspired by the recent pineapple trend in fashion, I turned a scarf into a pineapple-themed table runner. The result is playful and unexpected — a quick way to give a table a fresh, summery look. You can find the full step-by-step tutorial on Scarves.net if you want to recreate it.

They also challenged me to invent a new, elegant knot for a scarf. I created a bow-style tie that works beautifully as a hair accessory. It’s simple, chic, and adds a polished touch whether worn with casual outfits or dressed-up looks. Scarves.net has a clear photo and written tutorial showing how to tie the scarf bow if you want to try it yourself.

It’s amazing how versatile scarves can be. From aprons to table décor to hair accessories, a single scarf can become so many creative things. Did you ever make something unexpected from a scarf? I’d love to hear about your projects.
