Mother’s Day Floral Brunch Ideas to Celebrate Mom

If you ever wondered how serious we are about the #studiodiymoreismore mindset, this post will settle it. We teamed up with DOVE® Chocolate to create a flower-powered Mother’s Day brunch full of chocolatey treats and floral fun. Chocolate and flowers are an ideal pairing, and Mother’s Day is the perfect reason to gather your favorite moms and celebrate surviving another year of parenthood.

Below are our best tips for putting together a standout flower power brunch — from floral decor to sweet treats, plus easy DIYs you can make at home.

Chocolate isn’t limited to pancakes or donuts — DOVE® Fruit & Nut combines chocolate-covered berries and nuts for a subtle chocolate touch any time of day. We incorporated these into several dishes (see the smoothie bowl recipe below) because we’re always ready for an excuse to add chocolate to the menu.

That giant flower wall we found in LA? Of course we brought it to the studio — it made the perfect backdrop for all our floral details.

We used inexpensive acrylic barware and E6000 glue to attach faux flowers in a cascading pattern around the glasses. If you prefer removable decoration, hot glue works well and can be popped off later. To make sweet drink stirrers, thread DOVE Fruit onto bamboo skewers.

Purchase plain mini bowls and glue small faux flowers along the rim. Fill with chocolates (we chose DOVE PROMISES in Dark Chocolate and Caramel Milk Chocolate) for a charming favor your guests can take home.

Blend your favorite fruit smoothie — we used frozen strawberries and raspberries with banana and yogurt — then pour into bowls. Create “stripes” on top using sliced fresh fruit, shredded coconut, and DOVE® Fruit (the strawberry-flavored cranberries are a favorite). Finish each bowl with a couple of gumpaste flowers for a festive touch.

Flower Power Decor
We tucked faux flower stems into patterned stools, filled simple white vases, and brought in that oversized flower wall for a dramatic focal point. If you want to make your own flower wall, use cardboard or foam board and a hot glue gun to attach faux blooms — even a small panel makes a great photo backdrop. For budget-friendly options, check dollar stores for faux flowers.

Should we add more flowers? Probably. Now go show your mom, or the moms in your life, some flower power love!
