I mentioned before that I wanted to broaden the topics I cover this year, and I’m excited to follow through by sharing more manicure and beauty tutorials. This playful “wink wink” manicure is easier to achieve than it appears, and below you’ll find the step-by-step approach. As a bonus, I teamed up with Target to set up a tidy, stylish vanity area in the studio to make beauty shoots smoother.

Preparing for more beauty content, I converted a corner of the studio into a functional vanity. Small containers hold nail tools, a toothbrush holder is repurposed for makeup brushes, and a mirror finally made its way into the space—so we’re not running to the bathroom mid-shoot. I’m thrilled with how it all came together. My vanity essentials include:
Hand towel / Large canister / Small canister / Toothbrush holder for brushes / Soap dispenser / Pedestal bowl / White mirror

With the vanity ready, let’s talk about the manicure. Eye motifs are everywhere right now, and I’m loving the trend. Alex designed this flirty “wink wink” look that I can’t get enough of—long lashes and a playful wink make it a standout design. It’s fun, modern, and surprisingly simple once you know the technique.
