Free coffee was included too, which is always a win. Since we’re early risers, we made a morning date of it and had so much fun choosing glazes, fillings, and toppings. Eating the results was the best part. I chose a chocolate donut filled with fresh strawberries, topped with chocolate glaze and sprinkles.
Jeff, being more of a purist, picked a cro-mag-nut filled with blackberry jam.
If that face doesn’t make you fall in love all over again, I don’t know what will.

When you’ve been together a long time, it’s easy to stop celebrating the small, everyday moments and wait for anniversaries or holidays to mark the relationship. I love that HowAboutWe encourages couples to celebrate more often. We certainly did—mouths full of donuts and smiles all around.

Other dates I’m eyeing include a photography class for two and maybe a language lesson (thinking ahead to a pre-honeymoon!). Since we love celebrating with food, a taco sampler and an at-home pretzel-making class also sound fantastic.
