Creative Easter DIY Ideas for Home Decor and Gifts

And so it’s that time again: spring is arriving and it’s nearly Easter. I always get excited a bit late—about a month beforehand I suddenly want to surround myself with pastels and Cadbury Mini Eggs. That last-minute enthusiasm is part of the fun, though. If you have time this weekend, try a little crafting with friends or kids. And yes, enjoy those Mini Eggs so there are fewer for me to find. Below are my favorite Easter projects from 2013 to inspire baking, decorating, and crafting for the season.

Easter DIY Projects

(From top to bottom, left to right)

DIY Mini Easter Party Hats, DIY Egg Popper Tree, DIY Sequin Easter Eggs

DIY Easter Bunny Piñata, DIY Sprinkle Easter Eggs, DIY Easter Bunny Treat Pouches

DIY Honeycomb Easter Eggs, DIY Party Hat Easter Eggs, DIY Tassel Ice Cream Spoons

Each of these projects makes festive additions to your Easter table, party favors, or baskets. Mini party hats add instant whimsy to a table setting, while sequin and sprinkle eggs offer playful texture and shine. The egg popper tree and honeycomb eggs are great for centerpiece ideas, and the bunny piñata and treat pouches are perfect for kids’ celebrations. Tassel ice cream spoons bring a small, colorful touch to dessert service.

If you try any of these crafts, I’d love to see your results. Email a photo to hello{at}studiodiy{dot}com and your project may be featured in the reader project gallery.
